Full duplex communication - send/receive data
simultaneously
Most standard communication applications still do tasks
one at a time. For example,
Outlook
will first download new mail and then send outgoing mail
necessitating another thread to be opened up.
Specialized wireless and marine communication products
use full duplex communication, allowing data to flow
simultaneously in both directions. SeaWave TTS goes
one step further by launching several parallel
transfer processes; so many downloads occur
simultaneously making full use of available bandwidth.
Call disconnect data recovery - restarts where it
left off
By storing the data that has already been
transferred, SeaWave TTS picks up where it was broken on
the next connection. For large file transfers in
particular, this can offer a significant cost savings
and virtually assure that a file of any size can make it
from ship to shore or vice versa.
Data Compression
Good data compression can reduce transmission times
dramatically. Depending upon the data type, some
messages can be reduced greater than 90%. SeaWave TTS
segments a message into several parts, compressing each
part to its fullest potential. With full duplex
functionality, SeaWave TTS then sends and receives these
compressed segments over the least cost means.
Conditional e-mail and junk mail filtering
Conditional filters are established by the administrator
and determine to what extent an individual can use
email. For example, an administrator can restrict
inbound or outbound messages of a certain size and to
whom someone can send or receive email from. You can
also list entire domains as SPAM offenders, and deny
delivery based on keywords or phrases, etc.
HTML stripping
Email messages laden with HTML come at significant cost
due to images and code that make up the bulk of an HTML
message. SeaWave TTS can strip images, code, and
other unnecessary HTML elements and instead,
delivery just the body text of a message.
Faster Web browsing - boost data rates as much as
200-400 percent
Internet and intranet access is optimized using SeaWave
TTS over Inmarsat B, M, Mini-M, Fleet MPDS and ISDN.
Easy to use and configure, the SeaWave TTS Web
acceleration client provides graphical indicators for up
to five levels of compression! Based on the type of
content being transferred, SeaWave TTS delivers data
rates as much as 200-400percent.
