Using one supplier for voice and data communications has obvious administrative and cost saving benefits. SeaWave airtime provides a host of billing resources that enrich our products as well as our customer's experience. Consult this chart for a list of specific features available with or without SeaWave airtime.

SeaWave's IT control and voice and data communications solutions are available with or without SeaWave airtime.

Customer's who do elect to purchase SeaWave's competitive airtime benefit from SeaWave's ability to capture and invoice usage over Iridium and Inmarsat A/B/Mini-M/Fleet. In addition to these services, SeaWave can also capture usage for services over GSM and VSAT. SeaWave airtime customers enjoy the cost saving benefits of:

Pre/Post Paid Crew Solutions
SeaWave offers pre-paid SMSCrewMail (SMS and email) as well as pre-paid Crew Calling. Many owner/operators also use SeaWave's post-paid solutions, which can reduce administration by eliminating the need for the vessel to purchase and stock prepaid cards on behalf of the crew.

SeaWave can either bill crew usage directly to their credit card, or the vessel can manage a crew member's communications expenses. A vessel equipped with either Integrator and Rydex provides a communications usage report that tracks usage. The user or the vessel can print and present with payroll to note deductions.

Split Billing for Voice & Data
The Split Billing Module provides customers with direct access to SeaWave airtime billing data and the ability to configure "cost centers." Cost centers comprise rules regarding email addresses / domains (sender or recipient) for email message and telephone numbers (full or partial) for voice calls. The customer can define, and repeatedly refine, cost center rules to observe how the billing data is then separated. As with SeaWave's standard billing solution, data is itemized per email message and voice call (Integrator).

The solution is a powerful tool providing the following major benefits:

  • Accurate analysis of email and voice traffic by user defined cost centers
  • Ability to separate specific costs as required - e.g. to recharge Charterers

mySeaWave billing tools
From shore, access to past invoices and usage history are available via mySeaWave, SeaWave's land based portal. mySeaWave lets users change password, modify payment information, send and receive email as well as other valuable functions.

Onboard User sign-up
When using SeaWave airtime, users may sign-up with their credit card right from the vessel. SeaWave bills credit card users directly, eliminating administration to the vessel.

Invoice Detail & Fleet Invoices
SeaWave Fleet invoices provide a summary of all vessel communication charges. The individual vessel invoices can also be provided with explicit detail to all voice and data charges incurred.
