[Middletown, RI, USA - June 6, 2006] - SeaWave, a global leader in marine communications, has announced the launch of the Integrator 4, an all-in-one router, gateway device and billing platform that includes internal satellite and cellular technology, as well as support for external satellite terminals.

Enhancements from its predecessor, the Integrator 3.0, include built-in quad-band GSM, an internal Fleet ISDN Terminal Adapter, shock-isolated hard disk, increased memory and an LED status panel (used to determine system performance). The Integrator 4 is IEC 60945 and E10 certified.

"The Integrator 4 is built on the success of its predecessor," said Mark Witsaman, CTO of SeaWave. "We have enhanced the core applications such as Least Cost Routing (LCR) and Throughput Technology and simultaneously created a new product that is smarter as well as more durable."

As an IT gateway, the Integrator 4 is the VPN router for SeaWave's Remote Management Suite (RMS) which is designed to virtually eliminate vessel-based administration. RMS allows IT professionals on shore to remotely operate and maintain vessel-based PC's using mySeaWave.

"The Integrator 4 mitigates the complexities of offering on board communications," said Lawrence Zevon, Technical Product Manager of SeaWave. "Picking up the phone and placing a call or sending an email is as seamless and reliable as a land-based system."

Other IT tools available with the Integrator include SeaWave new Regulation Suite, which provides shipping companies with three core products that streamline compliance of IMO and government agency regulations. The Regulation Suite includes eNOAD (USCG, WETREP, PANS and AUSREP) and local Notice to Mariners (USCG, UKHO and NGA). Other authorities are being added to the Regulation Suite on a continual basis.
