Walter Kane is promoted to Vice President at Globe Wireless®

Foster City, California, USA (January 8, 2002): Today, Globe Wireless, the leading provider of communications solutions to the maritime industry, announced the promotion of Walter Kane to Vice President, Sales for the Americas. This appointment is in recognition of Mr. Kane's excellent sales performance and long term contribution to the company.

Prior to coming to Globe Wireless, Mr. Kane had a distinguished career of over 20 years as a Radio Officer in the United States Merchant Marine and United States Coast Guard. During that time Mr. Kane served on over 20 vessels, and he received several awards including the National Defense Service Medal in the Vietnam War, U.S. Merchant Marine Expeditionary Award, Operations Desert Shield/Storm and the U.S. Coast Guard award for Good Conduct.

Mr. Kane has been with Globe Wireless since 1993, and has held a variety of Sales and Operations positions with the company. He has worked at the company headquarters in California, opened the Sales office in the Gulf of Mexico, and now runs Sales for the Americas out of the Palm Bay, Florida office.
