SpeedCast has entered into a strategic distribution agreement with Globe Wireless, a leading company in the maritime communications and IT solutions service sector. According to the agreement, SpeedCast together with its maritime partner Eutelsat will provide their innovative global and seamless Ku-band broadband maritime service to extend Globe Wireless’ broadband services. Globe Wireless provides maritime fleets with end-to-end communications and IT applications across all the major shipping lanes and regions of the world and is the only global vertically integrated company 100% dedicated to the maritime industry. It provides flexible maritime solutions, satisfying all customer communications and IT needs.

This new broadband service will serve Globe Wireless customers across the key shipping lanes using Ku-band capacity on over 15 beams and multiple teleports in Asia, Europe and the Americas. SpeedCast will also supply innovative applications to serve new emerging requirements onboard vessels that are made possible by the access to SpeedCast’s real broadband (Mbps not Kbps!) connectivity.
