Regional Service Engineer - Eastern Canada

• Installation & Service of Marine Satellite systems (Inmarsat & Iridium)
• Installation & Service Onboard PC's & Network's in addition to Globe Wireless’ own HF radio system
• Candidate will receive assignments from our "Americas" region coordinators, based in California and Mexico, and be expected to manage the local attendance arrangements themselves
• Candidate will be responsible to track the vessel's arrival to carry out the installation/repair
• Regional travel will be a requirement and on occasion World Wide travel
Critical Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
• Knowledge of Marine Satellite systems (Inmarsat & Iridium)
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
• Knowledge of email servers, software and protocols (Lotus Notes; MS Exchange; DNS; TCP/IP; SMTP/POP3)
• Strong Windows proficiency and networking knowledge and experience required
• Strong problem solving skills
• VSAT knowledge is a plus although not critical. as is any experience in Marine HF Equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organizational and prioritization skills
Knowledge of shipping industry a plus.

Education, Experience, and Job Knowledge
Training will be provided to the selected candidate in a regional training center and on board vessels
