Entry Level Software Developer - San Mateo, CA
Developer wanted to design, code and maintain invoice and management reporting systems. Monitor the invoice process at a technical level to insure error free operation. Generate metrics to evaluate errors encountered in the process and make recommendations for improvement.
Critical Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Strong skills in C++, SQL DB Sybase a plus;
- Advanced working knowledge of Net, Java geared toward web development.
- Proficient in writing applications that run under Crystal Reports 7 and higher;
- Working knowledge of stored procedures;
- Data analyst skills;
- The ability to transfer product definitions into working programs;
- Developing existing systems by analyzing and identifying areas for modification;
- Maintaining systems by monitoring, identifying and correcting software defects;
- Creating technical specifications and test plans;
- Problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of the project
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Education, Experience, and Job Knowledge
- BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
- Recent college grad with relevent experience encouraged to apply
- Prior experience with high volume data transactions on enterprise systems a plus..
- Experience with large database systems which include Sybase, Oracle and DB2.
- The ability to do SQL query tuning and to write Stored Procedures is a plus.
