The Globe i250 provides central shipboard gateway control for all communications. The Globe i250 includes a FleetBroadband 250 for data and voice service. Additionally the Globe i250can also route email, Internet, and voice traffic via any other Satellite Gateway communications system - whether it is a second FB terminal, a VSAT system, an Iridium OpenPort, or WiFi - or all of these. The Globe i250is fully configured and controlled by Globe iPortal on the shore, through a simple web interface available to your IT staff.
We offer a single, self-maintained prepaid crew communications solution. The foundation of the crew solution is GlobeMobile GSM, which is built-in to the Globe i250. Through a single prepaid account, the crew can make GSM voice calls, send and receive SMS messages & email, and browse the web. The crew solution requires no maintenance by your IT staff. The crew simply turns on their GSM phone, and they’re automatically logged onto the ship for all services. The captain retains on/off control.
Globe iFusion is designed to be fully secure, controlling all access to the system through a solid shore-controlled firewall. You can configure the firewall settings through the Globe iPortal and these settings are replicated to the shipboard Globe i250.
The Globe i250is fully controlled and configured through the Globe iPortal. The Globe i250 automatically replicates all settings from the shore, including firewall setup, user profiles, communications settings, and GlobeMobile GSM configurations.
